Thomas J. McCoy

Mr. McCoy has over 35 years experience developing pay systems and company cultures for clients in the U.S., Europe and South America. In 1993 he established himself as a pioneer in the fields of employee engagement (EE) and employee experience (EX) with the release of his groundbreaking book "Compensation and Motivation: Maximizing Employee Performance With Behavior-Based Incentive Plans." (Selected as a textbook at Florida State University.) 
As an educator he conducts customized seminars, workshops and keynote speeches on the topics of Culture and Engagement.

His enterprise-level clients include EssoChem, Citgo Petroleum, the Federal Home Loan Bank, Xerox, and Dar-al-Tamleek along with hundreds of private, mid-market companies.

He has been quoted in Newsweek, featured in the Wall Street Journal and nominated for the Michael J. Losey award for HR Innovation sponsored by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He designed and taught a "High Performance Workplace" seminar at George Washington University and is a frequent conference speaker.
Among the other books he authored are: Creating an Open-Book Organization..Where Employees Think and Act Like Business Partners, (Nominated for SHRM's "Book of the Year" award and translated into German.) Four Attributes of Employee Engagement, and Fifteen Essential Questions (and Answers) That Ensure Successful Engagement. 
Mr. McCoy is a member of MENSA. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Certification from Villanova University, a Coaching by Design Certification from the Johnston Institute, and a BFA from the University of Minnesota. He is on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Support KC.
